The most common questions and answers for songwriters

What do I need to do to get my music recorded?

You only need to send us a basic demo of your song or composition and a reference to how you want it to sound. The sound quality of the demo is not important, so singing or playing the melody, either solo or with a guitar or keyboard, would be fine. We can help with production ideas or composition work if your material is unfinished or needs more development.

What happens once I've sent my song or composition to you?

Once you've decided to go ahead with the arrangement and recording, we'll send you a PayPal invoice for the 50% non-returnable deposit. We'll then start work on the full arrangement and recording. You'll be kept up to date with the progress of your track. When complete, we'll sent you a link to listen to the finished track for your approval. Following any changes and only when you are totally happy with the track, you will be sent the final payment invoice and the master files.

What will the track consist of?

A typical track will include guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and percussion as well as orchestral instruments such as strings, brass and woodwind if needed. Each instrument has its own custom written arrangement played by hand.

Do I have to know much about music to get my songs recorded?

No. We will handle all the technicalities of arranging and recording. Your involvement can be kept to a minimum if you wish, so all we would need from you is a very basic demo of your songs.

I have some ideas about how I want my track to sound, will these be taken on board?

Yes. We are totally flexible in our way of working and will incorporate your ideas into the production. We can also include your own recording into the finished track or add instruments to your own incomplete production.

I'm not much of a singer, can you record the vocals for me?

Yes. We can let you hear and choose from a selection of professional session singers. We can also provide custom written vocal harmony parts for an additional fee.

What if I'm not happy with my track?

First, we will try to find out what you don't like about it and fix it. If you're still not happy then you're free to walk away with nothing more to pay.

I've tried recording at home but I'm not satisfied with the results, can you help?

Yes. We could either use your existing arrangements to make new recordings, or use your tracks as a basis for a fresh arrangement and recording. We could also incorporate any of your existing tracks with the new recording.

What about copyright?

Once we've received your final payment you will own the copyright to the recording outright and are free to use it as you wish.
