Syrup's car...
Car
a Reliant Regal

For over ten years Syrup searched high and low,
from east to west and from north to further north in order to find his dream.
Last year he found it.
A 1969 700cc(with reverse) powder blue Reliant Regal.
It was found in a bloke's front garden - its home for the last eight years -

with only 41,000 miles on the clock, immaculate engine and bodywork
and seven previous owners, all very careful old ladies.

Nicknames "Farting Peggy" by his Granddad,
Syrup goes posing around the coast of South Shields looking for pushers,
not the drug kind, but the "here mate, give us a push, will ye"? variety,
wearing his distinctive curly wig - hence his beer-name Syrup (syrup of figs).

Fellow posers

Seen racing along at speeds of up to 65 mph, he once overtook a XR3,
which was moving incidentally, not parked.
Syrup gets some funny looks when driving around the streets of South Shields.
Kids shout out "Mr. Been", fellow drivers toot their horns and flash their
lights and the man in the car spares shop calls him "Dell Boy".
